Health and Safety
Although Eikendal Lodge has always had the highest standards in cleanliness, we have put extra preventative measures in place, ensuring the safety of our guests & staff.
We are participating in the Stellenbosch Ready program and use the safety protocols as prescribed by the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA).
They are both endorsed by the World Travel Tourism Council (WTTC).
Staff Training and Protocol
Our staff have been trained and are consistently being monitored on COVID-19 health and safety industry protocols.
Personal Protective Equipment & Staff Screening
All staff are screened daily, including temperature checks.
The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory at our premises.
These may include the use of face masks, face shields and gloves.
Cleaning and Disinfecting Procedures
We use SABS approved, disinfecting/cleaning products in all areas accessible to staff and guests.
Alcohol based (70%) hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout our premises, including all rooms.
Laundry is outsourced and done according to hospital standards.
Guests may request not to have their rooms serviced, and not to have a turndown service.
Check-in Procedure
Our check-in procedure will include specific health and safety protocols, such as completing a health questionnaire, having temperature taken and sanitising of hands.
This will be inobtrusive, with high regard for personal space and comfort. This is however a necessary measure in consideration of the healthy and safety of all the people in our care.
Dining
The setting up of our dining areas have been carefully considered, ensuring maximum space in between tables.
Food Handling
All meals and snacks will be individually plated and prepared under strict hygiene standards.
Room service will be available for all meals. Buffets won't be served
